2018 FAQs

1.) What packages do you offer?

I offer limited packages and they're quite simple:

A. Mini Shoot Package -$250

  • 30 minute photoshoot of any subject (rain or shine)

  • Typically shot in Gilroy/Morgan Hill Locations only

  • 10-15 max edited photos (electronic files only)

  • No developing services all electronic files on PixieSet

  • 3-4 week processing time

B. Outdoor Family Shoot -$350

  • 1hr-1.5hrs photoshoot up to 5 people (rain or shine)

  • If there are more than 5 people please email me regarding a group fee

  • Any area of choice in the Bay Area ($40 travel fee applies if outside county lines)

  • Props are welcome and provided by client

  • No developing services all electronic files on PixieSet

  • 20-30 minimum edited photos with a few black and white copies

  • 5 weeks max processing time

C. Custom Package -$$$

  • Agreed timeframe usually between 2-3hrs max even for small events

  • This is an ideal package for those that have a large family shoot

  • Any area of choice in the Bay Area ($40 travel fee applies if outside county lines)

  • No developing services all electronic files on PixieSet

  • This package MUST be booked at least 3 months in advanced and custom contract must be signed.

  • Unlimited edited photos

  • Processing time will vary but 6 weeks max.

 

2. What is the Cancellation Policy?

Please be polite and cancel at least 1 week in advance from your shoot, the earlier the better. A text or email will be sufficient.

 

3. What if the weather says its going to RAIN?

I am equipped to do a rainy day shoot but totally understand you if you'd like to reschedule. I am open to rescheduling but this will depend on availability. No penalty will apply. Ask me about a backup date as well, we can make 2 appointments, with one being the back-up date if we are rained out on the 1st appointment (note we cannot make more than 1 backup appt).

 

4. Will I get a discount if I refer someone?

Of course! I love my regulars and I love it when they tell their family and friends. I give $25 off for anyone who has already used my services or has been referred to me through anyone I've shot for before. If it is a referral, please let me know the person and their email and I'll be sure to honor the discount for you.

 

5. How do you receive payments?

A. Cash/Check:  I prefer cash, but you can definitely write a check out to "Karen Jimenez" and give this payment to me on the day of the shoot.

B. Venmo: You can also send now through Venmo, my account is @sweetambi, again, with this option please do one week in advance. Please use button below.

C. Tips (optional): I prefer baked goods and delicious homemade treats but tips are welcome too. (know that I'm joking)

 

**Note if full payment has not been received or cleared (this will include travel fee or any custom add ons), teasers and pictures will not be delivered.

 

 

6. When will I receive my pictures?

I usually take about 4-6 weeks. Customer packages may take longer.  It depends really on how many pictures and the nature of the shoot. If it was a event then this may take some time. Also, time of year will also depend on processing time. My peak season is September-Jan because of the Holidays and the new year, lots of customers around this time and lot of parties. Please know that I am a mom and I work FT, I do this PT.

 

7. Will a preview gallery be available?

You will receive a email from PixieSet with a client password to access your photos. Please share or download from the site.

 

8. Can I repost or share photos on social media?

Yes. The only thing I do ask is for you to give credit either by tagging my personal account or tagging the company @sweetambiancephotography. In addition, please hashtag whenever possible #sweetambiancephotography.

 

9. Do you pick out the locations?

I usually do pick out the locations but I am open to suggestions, email me for location sites and we can decide which is best for your shoot. 

 

10. When are you usually available to do shoots?

As of now I am a part time photographer, I am usually available on weekends. I occasionally do weekdays so please ask if I'm free. 

 

11. Will you email photos?

No. I am saving you from the time consuming hassle for uploading very large files. 

12. What's your photography style?

I specialize in outdoor natural light portrait photography. I love doing detail shots depending on the type of shoot we're going for. As mentioned before, I rarely use my speed light (artificial flash contraption thingy). With that said, I shoot at certain times of the day, so I will be the one to pick out the time slot for your shoot.

13. What’s next after photo session?

  • DOWNLOAD FROM PIXIESET - Once you receive your pixieset gallery, download ALL your photos as soon as possible. Avoid waiting a long period of time to download all you pictures, its always best to just have them ready when you need them. Lots of things can happen such as losing the email with the pw or knowing the process to download.

  • LET ME KNOW -If you need a small handful of enlargements, please notify me immediately with the image # (found in pixieset once you select the photo there will be a photo #). I can only give you larger images if you let me know, and I can only do a few since these take time to upload and it will take a even longer time possibly for you to download.

14. Printing Services

15. Archiving Practice

As much as I would love to keep most of the images I take, I typically only keep the images you see on pixieset. I delete mostly all the other RAW files. I will not give my images even the nonedited version. If you have any questions regarding any of you’re images please contact me within 30 days otherwise I cannot guarantee I will have the images in its true file form.
